Less Accounting was created for small businesses. Founder Allan Branch wanted to design a solution that allowed businesses to track online invoices and other financial tasks without the headache of learning about bookkeeping. The result was an application that can save business owners hours by providing an easy to understand bookkeeping tool that removes all the guesswork out of figuring out business finances.
Less Accounting caters to small businesses that are trying to save money and do it all on their own. This can be a very challenging task, especially when talking about money. Less Accounting keeps things simple by avoiding industry language and providing very clear directions and tools that make bookkeeping easier. By focusing on individuals who are not financial gurus, Less Accounting has created a tool that is ideal for anyone.
The Less Accounting website is professional, with a light blue, black and white color scheme, but far from intimidating. Users can easily navigate the clutter free environment and find the tools and information they need to get started. Financial data is broken down into a readable format. The user can jump from one item to the next by selecting the desired header along the left hand column. A matching mobile application is also available for users who are on the go.
Visitors can become Less Accounting members by clicking on the black “Sign up and Pricing” link at the top right hand corner of the homepage. The user must choose from one of three membership options. Each membership includes a 30 day free trial. The site is clever, with a pop up box that appears asking the user if they are comparing Less Accounting with similar applications and if so, it asks which ones. After selecting the desired membership, the user is taken to the registration form which asks for a username, email address, password and billing information.
Less Accounting offers three membership options to users. The least expensive is the Part Time Moonlighter, which runs under $15 per month. This membership includes invoice sending and expense recording. The mid range Small Business membership runs just under $25 per month and upgrades to include bank auto connect capability, repeating invoices, repeating expenses, tech support and more. The Super Busy Small Business membership costs about $300 per month and includes a full time bookkeeper.
Less Accounting is ideal for small businesses that want to get better control over their finances. Hiring a professional can cost quite a bit for a business. Less Accounting makes it affordable and offers many handy features that can take hours out of the bookkeeping process.
